  • Bison Ultra runners must book accommodation at the Last Shola Cottages or the Heavens Ledge Campsite.
  • Limited accommodation slots are available, and they will be allotted on a first-come-first basis.  Additional charges may apply to access the venue if you decide to stay elsewhere (or after the accommodation quota is exceeded).  The Heavens Ledge/Last Shola management decide this.
  • The estate owners decide the accommodation + food or the entry fee, and the Bison Ultra organizing crew or anyone from KaysFIT Academy does not interfere in the registration process.
  • All runners must comply with the resort rules, booking terms, and conditions.
  • Accommodation bookings will start from 4-Oct-2023.

An Investment Banker by profession, Satyashil Pradhan started running as recently as October 2016. After his debut half-marathon at TWCM, he made rapid strides in his running accomplishments by completing a full marathon at the same event in Dec 2017 in just slightly over 4 hours.

Inspired by his friends and his Coach (Coach Kay), he decides to target the Comrades marathon. An impromptu decision to register for the 2018 edition had him beat the registration deadline by only 15 minutes!!!.

In February this year, he completed his first Ultra, completing a 50km run in Yercaud Hills Ultra. He just completed another 52 km training run at the Yercaud Hills on 25-Mar, in a small group supported the run.

Satyashil follows a strict weekly training regime with various runs, strength training, and recovery sessions, including foam rolling and stretches. He is also very diligent about his diet and rigorously manages his hydration, fuel and salt intake during these runs

Satyashil is excited about the OOTYULTRA marathon, which will help him complete his final practice long run before Comrades. He feels the challenging elevation profile in Ooty, and the running conditions will help him simulate the actual Comrades experience.

He is thankful to his running group, the Mogappair Fitness Circle (MFC) in Chennai and especially to his running partner Balaji Thulasiraman who runs at OOTYULTRA & the Comrades marathon this year. Satyashil says his coach’s guidance and training plan has helped him tremendously in achieving his running goals.

Satyashil’s young family are themselves into various aspects of fitness, and he is highly appreciative of their sacrifice and support as he pursues his passion for endurance running.

We wish Satyashil Pradhan all the best at Comrades this year.
