  • Bison Ultra runners must book accommodation at the Last Shola Cottages or the Heavens Ledge Campsite.
  • Limited accommodation slots are available, and they will be allotted on a first-come-first basis.  Additional charges may apply to access the venue if you decide to stay elsewhere (or after the accommodation quota is exceeded).  The Heavens Ledge/Last Shola management decide this.
  • The estate owners decide the accommodation + food or the entry fee, and the Bison Ultra organizing crew or anyone from KaysFIT Academy does not interfere in the registration process.
  • All runners must comply with the resort rules, booking terms, and conditions.
  • Accommodation bookings will start from 4-Oct-2023.

Deepa, the AVP of PrepMySkills, is an ultrarunner, triathlete, scuba diver, high altitude trekker, creative chef and mompreneur who often experiences bliss through running. She has 10+ years of experience in the education industry focusing mainly on e-learning.

Deepa calls herself an amateur long-distance runner (since 2012, started with TCS 10k) and a triathlete but quite inspiringly she has won podium in many marathons (including a triathlon) over her many years in fitness notably, the winner at the 12 hr Stadium Run in Bangalore, 2nd runner up at the Khardung La Challenge, Spice Coast Marathon, Half Iron Man 1st runner up, IDBI Spice Coast 1st runner up, Spirit of Wipro Run 10k 2nd runner up and the Jawadhu Ultra 75k Winner. She also received recognition for her running records from organizations like TomTom Sports and Wildcraft. She is the Ambassador of Yoga Bar and teaches “running” at the cult.fit

Deepa is a detailed oriented person and plans for her races well ahead of time, following intensive training involving careful recovery and nutrition. During her training months, she carefully plans her mileage and goes up to 100 km per week on an average. Being a mother of two teenager boys she manages to balance all aspects of her life with passion. She continues to inspire many around her regularly.

Motivated by winning the Khardung La Challenge, Deepa has her eye on running the Everest Extreme Marathon, the world’s highest marathon which involves running 60k after a gruelling 14 days trek to the start point.

When asked about why she had decided to run the OOTYULTRA, Deepa says,

“Preparing for the Everest Marathon this season but due to injury training has not been the best. Ooty Ultra will act as a reality check on my present endurance and fitness level. With the elevation so inviting, the greenery so intoxicating….it’s gonna be an uphill all the way ;)”

Join us in wishing Deepa a wonderful race day experience on the 29-Apr-2018 at the OOTYULTRA and also for her future races.
